Palm Crest Chess Team will once again be offered by Coach Jay and his team of instructors at the California Youth Chess League (CYCL). We welcome players of all levels, grades K-6. Coach Jay and his team make sure the students are having fun while they learn the royal game. Coach Jay is rated internationally as a Candidate Master and has taught chess for over 20 years. All students receive their own lesson books and a Passport to Scholastic Chess that they fill with chess-themed stickers that they earn.

The PCR Chess Team will meet 13 Mondays, September 11 - December 11, 2017 in the MPR:

• K-2nd grade: 2:55 to  4:00pm
• 3rd through 6th grade (and siblings) stay until 4:30pm.
• From Total Beginner through Advanced Instructional.
• Kindergarteners please join us!
• Tons of varied activities and free playtime, makes the learning fun!
• Research shows that playing chess improves thinking skills!
• CYCL is a non-profit organization (ID# 95-4576468). Financial assistance is available.
• CYCL will pick up Early Birds from CEC, if necessary.

Chess Team Dues: only $169 for 13 weeks of class!.
Multi-sibling discount: 2 siblings = $274, 3 siblings = $344.
